The kitchen is always equipped for Basic Breakfast. OR Walk just across road to 8th Bastion hotel owned by the same group of hotels. Proceed on a guided walking tour of Kochi. It has been a port since 1341, when a flood carved out its harbour and opened it to Arab, Chinese and European merchants. Sites reflecting those influences include Fort Kochi, a settlement with tiled colonial bungalows and diverse houses of worship. Cantilevered Chinese fishing nets, typical of Kochi, have been in use for centuries. Visit St. Francis church where the sailor Vasco De Gama was originally buried and also Santa Cruise Basilica – a fine piece of Art and Architecture. Rest of the afternoon free. Overnight stay.
This morning go on an ethnic tour of the Old Kochi. Take a tuk tuk – the most popular mode of transport among the localities, go along with your local tour and stop at the Dhobi Khana (laundry station), once throbbing with activity, it is now a picture of slow extinction. Continue through the small streets of Mattanchery, and arrive at the Fruit market on Palace road where locals get a variety of fresh and organic produces at bargains prices. Don’t miss a stop at the Spice Market, where exotic odors of the finest ginger, cloves, cardamom, turmeric and pepper emanate from the spice warehouses lining the street. Make a pause and have one “meter tea” at one of the tea stall. There is now an opportunity to interact with a Brahmin Family The upper cast of Hindu Hireaerchy, the lady of the house will demonstrate a KOLAM which is graphical figure they do it very religiously every dat as it is supposed bring in peace and prosperity to the house. After Breakfast drive to Kanam Village at the foot hills of the western ghats. On arrival transfer to your accommodation – Serenity Estate Bungalow. As the name specifies, ambience is serene and environment tropical. The bungalows built in 1920 in 15 acres of land still remain with 6 rooms maintaining the glorious heritage. There will be two adjacent rooms for accommodation. Rest of the day Free to familiarise with the Resort. Overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel. Explore your self, go on a bullock cart ride or just chill at the resort.Also find time to meet with “Lakshmi” the inhouse elephant.

Breakfast. Lakshmi by now is a friend you can spend time with. Explore the land around it could be interesting with many spice plantations as well as Latex cultivation. You also have an option to visit the Periyar National Park which is about 2 ½ hrs drive drive oneway – you could enjoy a Wild life safari by boat and return to Serenity. Overnight stay
Breakfast, by Midday drive down to Alleppy and check in at your Home for the next three days – Kurialacherry House- Smile seems to be the focus of everything we do at Kurialacherry House! It is a traditional Family house situated in an Island name as Manapra on the Keralan Backwaters Familairise with the Ambience. During the day, meet with Chacko – your ever smiling Host. In the evening enjoy a village walk and visit a local temple nearby. Overnight stay in one of the spacious cottages. Two extra beds shall be Provided.
Breakfast. Walk around the property, Chacko also owns a small farm, there are ducks, goose and hens around and a little bit of farming. Chacko will be happy to take you around. Spend a leisurely day at the resort. In the evening witness a live cooking demo; the ladies at work may not speak English but proved to be good at what they are doing! If you fancy a hands on experience on a couple of local fishing techniques there is an option to go night fishing with your local guide. Overnight.
Breakfast. This morning go on Shikara cruise, these covered country canoes are the best way to experience the backwaters and to understand the local village and life around. See the temples (from outside), the local Bazars, and/or a brief village visit for a bit more curious traveller. Some of these boats, longer versions, once used to carry tons of rice and spices, are converted into comfortable floating accommodation offering enchanting cruises through the backwaters. Cruise through the palm fringed canals enjoying the beauty of rural village life. Disembark at your house by Noon. Rest of the day free. Overnight stay.
Break fast. By mid day drive to Marari Beach This beach in Kerala is eternal with coconut palm trees and golden sands. The beach is quite beautiful and the name ‘Marari’ arises from ‘Mararikulum’, which is a local Fishermen village on the Arabian Sea Coast.
Your accommodation here is a Two room Villa with a Private Pool. The beach is only about 300 meters away. We would leave you here at your own under the Special care of the owner cum Host
