The state of Karnataka has a rich diversity of flora and fauna. The forest supports 25% of the elephant population and 15% of the tiger population of India and there are many wildlife national parks which are just a few hours’ drive from Bangalore – the capital city of the state.

Day 1: Arrive Bangalore

Upon arrival at Bangalore airport, meet and assistance by our office representative, followed by transfer to hotel and check-in. Experience this Cosmopolitan city with its impressive Victorian-era architecture and with its lovely parks. It is also blessed with a pleasant climate and a burgeoning dining and shopping scene. Later in the afternoon explore this city starting with the visit of the elegant Tipu Sultan’s Palace – a fine specimen of military architecture from 18th century, notable for its teak pillars and ornamental frescoes. Continue to the Dravidian-style Bull Temple built in the 16th-century, and pass by the Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, the Cubbon Park, a sprawling 120-hectare garden, surrounded by wonderful colonial architecture, including the red-painted Gothic-style State Central Library and the colossal neo-Dravidian-style Vidhana Soudha and neoclassical Attara Kacheri built in 1864 and now houses the High Court. Overnight at the hotel. Day 2: Bangalore – Kabini          (265 Kms/ 5Hrs)

Breakfast. Drive to the Nagarahole National Park. On arrival, check-in at your hotel the Water Woods situated in the southern fringes of the Nagarahole National Park. Rest of the day free to enjoy the serne ambience. Dinner and overnight stay. (Full Board)

Day 3: Kabini

Breakfast at the hotel. Early morning, cruise through the serene backwaters of the River Kabini on a motor boat viewing Aquatic Bird and other wild life on the water intent on their morning catch. Return to your hotel. This late afternoon, proceed for a Jungle Safari into the Nagarahole park, accompanied by experienced drivers and Naturalists. This area boasts of the highest density in Asiatic wildlife and is considered one of the best places in India to view the Asiatic elephants and gaur. Dinner and overnight stay.  (Full Board)

Day 4:Kabini – Bandipur            (120 Kms/ 2 ½ Hrs )

Breakfast . Leave Kabini River for the plains of the Bandipur National Park.           This park along with Nagarhole, Wayanad Sanctuary and Mudumalai National Park, makes the Nilgiri Biosphere.  It is one of South India’s most famous wildernesses areas, and home to leopards, four-horned antelopes, crested serpent eagles, as well as fragrant Sandalwood trees. Check-in at your hotel Bandipur Safari Lodge, located near the Forest Reserve. This early evening, get ready for a wildlife exploration & birding within the periphery of the national park. You will board a Jeep Safari (Duration 2hs) to explore the Bandipur National Park with knowledgeable guides. There’s plenty to see: elephants munching on bamboo, herds of spotted deer, Indian bison and crested serpent eagles Enjoy the end of your day in your jungle retreat.. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel. (Full Board)

Day 5: Bandipur – Mudumalai – Bandipur (20 Km / ½ hr )  

Breakfast at the hotel. From your hotel go for a small trek 5km up to the adjoining hill for a panoramic view of this living sanctuary and spot deer gathering at the reservoir .By noon, proceed on to  explore the nearby park, Mudumalai National Park At the Karnataka – Tamilandu Border.  The Canter bus safari (Tickets are subject to availability)  but run on the peripheral roads that run through the forest. Mudumalai is an ideal home to several endangered and vulnerable species like nestling Indian elephant, Bengal Tiger, Gaur and Indian Leopard. After enjoying this wildlife safari we will return to Bandipur to enjoy the end of your day in your jungle retreat. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel. (Full Board)

 

Day 6: Bandipur – Mysore         (75 Kms/ 1 ½ Hrs)

Breakfast. Drive to Mysore. This afternoon proceed on a sightseeing tour. Visit the Maharajah’s Palace, one of the most beautiful buildings in India. Inside, you will find a kaleidoscope of stained glass, beautiful carved wooden doors and mosaic floors.  Continue towards the colourful Devarajan Market and also visit Chamundi Temple, overlooking Mysore from the 1062 metre summit of Chamundi Hill. A golden statue of Chamundi – the Hindu goddess worshipped by the Maharajas. Back to hotel. Overnight stay. (Bed & Breakfast)

Day 7: Mysore – Srirangapatna – Mysore           (16 Kms/ ½ Hrs)

Breakfast. Drive to Srirangapatna – the island fortress of Tipu Sultan and the early capital of the Mysore Wodiyars – Here you will find monuments such as Tipu’s mosque with its twin minarets built in 1787, Tipu’s Summer Palace (known as the Daria Daulat Bagh) built completely on wood and converted into a museum that houses some fantastic artefacts and paintings related to Haider Ali and Tipu Sultan, and  the Gumbaz where lie buried Tipu Sultan, Haider Ali and others of the royal family.Later back to hotel and rest of the day free for independent activities. Overnight stay at Hotel

Day 8: Mysore – Bangalore Airport Drop            (200 KMs/ 4Hrs)

Breakfast. Check out and drive to Bangalore airport to catch your flight to home.
